Abstract

|
The contribution of antibiotics to modern therapeutic medicine has been great and dramatic. This has also created significant problems in our society such as abuse of the agent, drug resistance in a majority of instances and enhancement of opportunistic invaders.
The waste of social and economic resourses seems to be, serious.
To cover basic concepts of antimicrobial therapy, this part of two separate series will touch on the categories of antiobiotic abusement, the clinical implication, object of antimicrobial therapy, biology of infection and bacteriology.
